Bloom (6/3/2020)Now it's the perfect season Yeah, let's go for it this time We're dancing with the trees and I've waited my whole life -Bloom, Troye Sivan-
Nora always insisted in going to all the shows her riders were in. It just didn't feel right for her to not see them progress or be there to help them get through a rough showing day. Because when there's failure, there's room for improvement and that's why she trains them. But this time, she needed to focus on the rest of the riders, only three were attending the SUHJA Spring Circuit and it was far away. The only person she really trusted to guide her riders, was Lorenzo the groom. And since the riders going were known for being messy, they were in the right hands. Of course Nora begged for pictures of everything the horses were doing during the time they were in the trailer, and the groom delivered. Worrying about horses what his thing too. But he had other concerns "Carter did you bring another breech? Not just the white one, right?" Lorenzo was on the wheel, and looked at the man with the rear-view mirror "He didn't, but I did" Paulina, who happened to be Carter's cousin, smiled proudly. "Okay. And Dante I guess you remembered to bring the bell boots I asked you to clean..." Lorenzo definitely expected a no. "I did. They are ugly but I did" The other man replied with a roll of his eyes "We were allowed spring colours and I chose one fitting for your horse. He looks gorgeous in lilac"
Once they arrived at Aspenfield Show Park and the horses were comfortable in the stalls, Lorenzo couldn't believe what he had in front of his eyes. So he snapped a picture and sent it to Nora, without the others noticing. "I can't believe they are actually doing something similar to work! Well, Paulina is chatting with her horse. And Dante just sat down after carrying one single bag full of hay. Don't judge their outfits, they traveled wearing whatever they could grab" He wrote along with the pic. The horses and riders have one night of rest before the great competition. It won't be hard with these amazing facilities. The arena looks like it was recently dragged and all the obstacles are on point. Let's see how they do tomorrow in Show Jumping. Maybe bringing three stallions wasn't the best idea.

"Fellow equestrians, welcome to the first official Sims United Hunter Jumper Association show, the 2020 Spring Circuit! Let's begin with the Horses' Jumper Division, good luck to all the riders and horses."
Finally it was the big day. We never thought about joining an association, but SUHJA was just perfect and we couldn't let the opportunity slip from our hands. Maybe for other people this show isn't so important, but for us it is. Being able to bring our horses and riders here, to such a beautiful faiclity and maybe see them triumph, it has no price.Representing Unique Steeds Stable, GVH Newfoundland and Dante Miravelis (Horse .75M - .90M Jumper Division, Unedited) "Relax, boy" Representing Unique Steeds Stable, TBS New York Minute and Paulina Mora (Horse .95M - 1.10M Jumper Division, Unedited) "We've got this, York" Representing Unique Steeds Stable, Kilborn's Maverick Merlot and Carter Loomis (Horse .95M - 1.10M Jumper Division, Unedited) "Could you learn to behave!?"

Attention (15/3/2020)You just want attention, you don't want my heart Maybe you just hate the thought of me with someone new -Attention, Charlie Puth- It wasn't a good day at all. It was one of those days you know everything will go wrong, because the first thing you did in the morning was wrong too. When Genaro woke up and the electricity was off, that's when he knew. When he had to wake up Paulina because she was late, he knew. The only good thing was the fact that it wasn't raining, it kind of made him calm despite the imminent bad luck that day had. Obviously, loading the mares was almost impossible. They were already a complicated pair, and it seemed like they were worse together. It took about two hours to load them correctly, without nipping at each other or attempting to kick someone. They usually get along well, but it's trouble when one tries to get on the other's nerves. When they were finally on the road, Lorenzo had to drive back because he had forgotten his brushes. Not only that, one of the mares managed to pull a shoe and they had to replace it. Pippi and Genaro were first. The second he noticed the judges had a place inside the arena, he got tense. Halter shows tend to have the judges outside or they enter the arena and check the horses closely. The man just took a deep breath and got ready for the most embarrassing moment of his horse related life. The bay gave one, two, three calm steps and then she just threw her head in the air and sent a flying kick at her handler. "Oh you little devil" Genaro thought and tried to calm her down. They weren't going to place, but he had to keep the mare from getting hurt. Paulina tried to play it cool when the painted mare started to prance in place and gave the judges a curious look. Apparently flowers aren't her favorite thing, because the decorations made her leap into air. A little unexperienced, the girl yelled at the mare, who spooked even more. After that it was just the mare and three other people chasing her around the arena. "Please don't jump, please don't jump, please don't jump" Paulina whispered hopefully. Too shy (18/3/2020)
Something's wrong, you're not naive, you must must be strong -Too shy, Kajagoogoo- Hunter shows aren't easy. We knew this one wasn't the exception when we arrived. DBR Last Man Standing was full of excellent riders, the competition is strong in this one but our riders still have to conquer the fear to fail. Sometimes they feel less than the other riders, or start to question their riding skills or even the quality of their horses. The problem is all these thoughts can ruin a good round. The big grey mare, Sally, was weirdly calm. Despite being only five years old, she's a quick learner and her legs are agile. Maybe she wanted to make Cara feel better, she didn't want to trouble her rider spooking or misbehaving.
Our typical hunter bay is a pro in the ring. He's been doing this for about two years! He could go higher, of course, but his rider doesn't feel safe yet. She doesn't want to affect her horse's skills by being an insecure rider. Maybe the next show they will go a little bit higher.
We didn't introduce this one yet, she's TJS White Shore (bought from Lilith Griffin). Despite her Dressage foundations, we didn't doubt her potential. Anyways, we made a mistake by entering her on such a high level, her rider had some trouble guiding her correctly through the course. We'll leave her in lower fences for a while.
Cute mighty pony isn't afraid of anything! Our only teenage rider conquered the show ring with the little grullo mare with no faults.
The staff over at DBR were nice enough to let us bring an extra horse to the show. One is a spooker since the day he was born, so we can't take him to shows without it being dangerous for his rider and himself. Since he's still three years old, we have time to get him used to the chaos and colorful decoration a show has. We got a lot of side eyes and bucks while going around the ring.
