I just noticed the pride flag everywhere, love it! And my fav character of your blog is back, send Walt with the cutest tiny horse. Glad to see chemistry flowing, it's hard to achieve sometimes Yeah I may have gone a little overboard with all the pride flags aha! And glad to see there's atleast one Walt fan out there

A Couple Of Brunette 17-2-2020
Good old Burtybee and his dressage mare, Foxglove's Eden!
~ Sadly Burt is heading down to London this week to get some work done in the studio and will be gone for however long it takes him to be happy with the work he got done. I had like a hot minute where I was like "I should go with him," but then remembered we have 11 horses to take care of and Walt is not capable to doing that alone. So sadly I will have a week or so without Burt, very sad, I know. How will I survive, we'll never know. It's not like this happens once a month. I may go down for like one day to bug him, (thanks to living in America for like a year I'm accustomed to long drives now hah) but that's up to debate. London Traffic... He's got a lot of work to get done according to him so I'll probably leave him alone F. Regardless of my music boy having to leave for a couple days, he's still got work to get done with his ponies. Gotta keep those ladies in shape before their week off since Burt will kill me if I get on one of his dressage horses without him there. One of those horses is Eden, obviously. I think she's like the equivalent of what Burt would look like as a horse for some reason. Like, Burt doesn't have to wear matchy clothes to match with Eden. They're twinsies. There was no temper tantrums or fits in this ride, so that's always good! Burt is hoping to get in the show ring with his dressage ponies real soon here. I'd give him like... a 90 for this ride. Yet again, I forgot everything about dressage. But I'm his boyfriend so my score beats all scores. ~
~
Single tear emoji as I be overly dramatic about Burt leaving Cheers!

Mourning Routine 23-2-2020
Tfw you're sad because you're hubby is out of town and you still have to do your job.
~ Like I said in the last update, no Burt. Heβs in London. So right now itβs just Walt and I. So, what better time to do a crappy morning routine blog when weβre down one hand. (And no, thatβs not a joke about Waltβs arm. That's so rude smh.)
Getting out of bed is miraculously a lot easier without Burt as I have to essentially drag him out of bed. Without Burt, I just flop out of bed. Alone. Without Burt. I throw on some shoes and go wake up Walt who is usually already awake and outside as they donβt have a concept of a reasonable sleep schedule. Walt usually throws on a jumper or two before we head out to give our ponies breakfast. ~
~
Usually, Burt does one half of the stables, I do the other, and Walt does the two boxes outside. Rather, this morning I was hurrying around all nine boxes inside while Walt did the two boxes where their two black tobianos are. Itβs usually pretty easy to feed four or five horses without them all going mad, but according to our horses Iβm too slow to feed all nine of them. Robin was just yelling at me because everyone else was yelling. Robin gets fed firstβ¦. Murphey and Ghost were all happily eating in their boxes as I got the last grain buckets dished out. Yeahβ¦ feeding the ponies is not my strong suit. Measuring out all the feed they need? So bad at that. ~
~ Walt was already leading out Ghost with Murphey plodding along behind them. Murph knows where to go, Ghostβ¦ not so much. I had to wait a little longer to start turning out the rest of the goobers while Walt got their boys out. Walt was gracious enough to help me out a bit getting all the big horses out into their paddocks. Jabask was a bit grumpy because it was his morning in the small turn out with Robbie got the big pasture to himself. Which made it all the more difficult to get the mares out because we were dumb and turned out Jabask first. If Burt was hereβ¦ we wouldβve gotten the far paddocks where the mares go first since Iβm dumb. But eventually we got everyone out in their fields without anything catastrophic happening. ~
~ Needless to say, we're down about 20 braincells when Burts gone. The mornings are messy and chaotic when you leave two dumbasses like Waly and I to take care of 11 horses when we're sleepy. You'd think after doing this for a few years I'd have adapted to doing work bright and early but apparently not. ~
~ Once all the ponies have had their breakfast, and are out in their fields to get some of their pent up energy from the night- it's time for us to have breakfast and get ourselves ready for the day. We had toast.
Walt and I can't cook to save our lives.
Once we're done with all of that nonsense, it's time to get on with our day. ~
This update was slightly pathetic but uhhh.... Cheers?

Foxglove Newbies 8-5-2020
Showing off the two new ponies here at Foxglove! Buuuuut Marquis I though your stables was full!! Well, We've started trying to have our horses in 24/7 turnout so now... we have more room
Foxglove's Barleycorn -------------
------------- Project pony alert : say hello to Burt's new project, Barley! Barley is a five year old hanoverian mare Burt is starting in dressage with hopes to sell in the future. She's a real forward mare with a nice natural gait to her. Barley was staying on Burt's dad's property since she was a two year old, so we're already quite familiar with her and she's a cool mare. She's definitely more go than woah and fit the definition of a dumb-blood. She goes a little scatter-brained if she doesn't have good confident cues. I haven't had the chance to ride her myself, but Barley is definitely going to be a great show horse for someone in the future! -------------
------------- WRNGS Freya -------------
------------- Yeah, we let Walt get another pony. Yeah, don't ask why we let them get another demon pony, but anyways, this is Freya! She's a native spotted pony with a lot of attitude. Now Walt has Ghost and Freya and hopefully that's the extent of their horse ownership for a while because they essentially get to keep their horses at Foxglove for free. I'm hoping we can get Freya sane enough that we can use her as a lesson pony since our irish cob, Murphey, who was are original plan for a lesson pony is staying at his breeder/co-owner's place for a while since they are also trying to start up lessons. But as they say, a loud rider makes a quiet horse. Hopefully. -------------
------------- RDEC Concordia -------------
------------- Last but certainly not least, meet Concordia! This lovely little KWPN youngster is going to be my new show jumper! This girl always has her ears perked up and has a lot of confidence over fences. Yet another really cool young horse at Foxglove. She's a flashy little thing who I cannot wait to get into the jumper ring with some equally flashy tack. (Resident matchy-matchy junky here... I have... so many LeMieux sets...) I'm trying to switch up my training a bit while I bring her up. I've been trying to do some more brain-challenging work on her and on my other horses. But she's a bit more of a blank slate contrary to my other horses who've been into my old training method. I think her and I are already getting along quite nicely! -------------
-------------
Okay, that concludes our new-horse showcase! Even though... Burt and I have another horse coming in as well. Then that's it until Barley goes to her new home. Who's your favourite out of this new bunch? Cheers!
