Welcome to Foxglove Equestrian
Owned and Established by Burton Foxford & Marquis Moulin
Northumberland, England.
~
Nestled deep into the Northern English countryside, Foxglove Equestrian is a small stables owned by myself and my partner, Burton Foxford.
My partner and I focus on training sport horses in dressage, show jumping, and eventing. Our small, privately owned stable homes 10 horses at the moment. My partner and I have years of experience under our belt with horse training and care. Burton, having been raised on a farm outside of London, has decades of experience having been riding and caring for horses fresh out the oven. Burt focuses primarily on dressage, but as a full-time musician has less time to ride horses between recording sessions and gigs. He's an artist in the saddle and has a real way with horses and is truly a very skilled equestrian even if it's not his full-time gig. Myself, Mark, may have less time on a saddle, but I'm the main trainer at Foxglove. Having my backing in being a Jockey when I was younger, now a show jumper and an eventer, I have a soft-spot for the fiery horses and have no problem taking a few falls. If you're going to see anyone take a face dive right into the mud at our stables, it'll most likely be me. We focus on showing and training horses and hope to have a team of successful and talented sport horses! As well as have fun in the equestrian world.

Our Horses
~
Devon's Maverick & Murphey
These two are a friendly pair around the stables. Maverick is sadly not owned by us, he's owned by Annie Stokes and is here at Foxglove to keep up his training. In contrary, Murphey, our little Irish cob gelding, is just a little pasture ornament until we've got a tiny enough rider for the little guy.
~
Foxglove's Robin Hood
Robbie Rotten, as he's known, is what I'd consider my heart horse. He's a total goblin of an ottb gelding and is full of sass. Robin is the most stalliony gelding in the world. He's been with me for a good while and I'm the only person who he tolerates.. anyone who isn't me who tries to interact with this dude wont have a great time.
~
Kronborg's Jabask
Jabask is the last of our boys at the stables. He's still a stallion at the moment but is currently gelding-bound. Jabask is one of our eventers with a lot of personality. He's got great work ethic.. but quite the attitude if the things aren't going his way. Weather too cold for Basky? It's going to be an interesting ride!
~
Delani HX, Florence HX, & Devon's Nebka
This is the first of our two herds of mares who are sane enough to be turned out together. Delani is the youngest of the group, she's a sweet thoroughbred mare who's going into eventing. She's a playful girl and requires a lot of purple shampoo baths. No blankets can handle her pasture antics. Next is Florence, the more sane of the bunch. Florence is one of Burt's dressage horses who is the mama of the herd. Florence keeps the two youngsters in check and puts up with the two playing around. Lastly is Nebka! Nebka is another youngster, but isn't as "mud prone" as Delani. Nebka is pretty much Florence's bestie. Nebka is Burt's eventing mare who's already got a great jump-sense. Nebka has got a bit more attitude than the other girls in her paddock, but is not the kind to throw a fit for no reason. When she throws a temper tantrum in the ring she's got a reason for it!
~
Foxglove's Eden, Foxglove's Underwood, & Foxglove's Dixieland.
Last, but certainly not least is our herd of energetic bay mares. This is the bunch who is constantly running back and forth around their paddock and pulling shoes... First of the group is Eden! Once again, she's one of Burt's dressage horses. I wish I could say as the dressage horse she'd stereotypically be the calm one but nope. None of these girls are calm. Eden has a bit more commonsense than the other two maybe, but she loves following along in their frolics. She's the leadmare of the bunch, which makes he a pretty bombproof horse! Next is Underwood, she's the biggest horse at the stables and she's one of my eventers! Underwood is a big goof of a mare. She's got a lot of energy but sometimes forgets how big she is. Underwood is definitely the sweetest undersaddle though. I'd gladly let a younger rider ride her without worries. She really takes care of her rider. Lastly, the instigator, Dixie. Dixie is my show jumping mare and calling her a crackhead is an understatement. This horse has the attention span of two seconds. She'll stand still for 10 seconds in the paddock before going ZOOM. She's the most likely to bolt off on ya or get way too excited towards a jump. Dixie is definitely a fun one!
